These 3 people have been a huge part of my life.  Arlene is my sister-in-law, the perfect fit for my brother and not only has she been a great person to me since I was in Jr. High School in Chelsea, she’s a huge supporter for my career.  Dan (my awesome big brother that got me into reggae and KRS-1 before I could read) prepared me for a lot of life lessons when I was younger.  During a time long ago, he tricked me into getting my first job by telling me he was going to buy me new clothes, but he ended up taking me to a fast food restaurant and forced me to fill out a job application.  Two life lessons here…  1st, it’s important to get a job early to get work experience, to be more responsible, and to stop asking my dad for money – blah, blah, blah…:)  2nd, Nothing in life is what it seems…  Whether it was done directly or by trickery, Dan taught me lots of lessons during my childhood and I’ll always be thankful for that.  Lucas is important because I just love him so darn much!  He’s full of energy and laughter.  He seems to be working really hard on his “pleases” and “thank yous” too.  I can’t wait to spend more time with this little guy!

50 years married…  That’s an amazing statement for a couple to make.  Dr. Frank and Mrs. Maxine had a great time celebrating 50 years of marriage with their friends and family.  Their children, Kelly, Brent, Scott, and Neil did a wonderful job creating such a special night for them.

Not only did the family celebrate 50 years of marriage but they also celebrated 50 years of teaching for Mrs. Maxine.  Her students and co-workers attended the event and it was great to hear them speak about how she has made such a powerful impact on their lives.  The cute, funny, or life changing stories continued throughout the night.  Her children also had some sweet and funny stories about growing up with such loving parents.

Hearing all of the speeches reminded me how important it is to be there for people.  To help whenever you can just to see others do well.

Congratulations again on 50 years!
