FIRST TIMES are great, aren’t they???  This was our very first early bird photo session!  Our schedules couldn’t match up with Elizabeth and Kevin for an early evening engagement session, so we decided to catch the sunrise instead.  We got up at about 4 AM and headed towards the Meat Packing District in hopes to catch the sunrise.  At first we were nervous for them because it was so early in the morning and we thought they would be extremely tired.  We were quite impressed, Elizabeth and Kevin showed up lookin’ super sharp, with balloons and ready to go.

We walked, talked, stopped by random areas to take some photos, and finished our morning with some awesome crepes from Bar Suzette in the Chelsea Market!

BIG thanks to Elizabeth and Kevin for being so open and up for anything!  You did a great job and I can’t wait for the wedding!

Feel free to comment if you like what you see 🙂

Birthday surprise turns into a surprise vow renewal!

First off I’d like to say thank you to my friend/awesome photographer Miguel for referring me to photograph this celebration.  He had only good things to say about this couple and when I arrived on the grounds of this event, I already knew Aires must be a great wife & mother to have such a thoughtful husband plan a special event for her.  Terry celebrated Aires birthday in the most memorable way at the Rodin Museum with great food and their closest friends.  Apparently, many of Aires friends told her they were out of town or made up some other lame excuse that they could not celebrate her birthday with her, so she couldn’t hold back the smiles when she saw everyone.  Just as she was getting her bearings together, everyone was called to gather outside by the stairs where another surprise was to take place.  Check out the photos below to see how it turned out.
